Forest Hills All-on-4 Implants
If you need to replace your missing teeth or want an alternative to dentures, then our Forest Hills All-on-4 option is a great solution worth considering.
All-on-4 is a modern denture-implant hybrid that’s permanent. You won’t have to take anything out at the end of the day. Its unique shape feels more comfortable and gives you the confidence you need to go about your day to day activities, just like you did when you had all of your natural teeth.

What Exactly is All-on-4?
All-on-4 is an innovative alternative to traditional dentures. It uses the physics of implant therapy combined with a streamlined, fixed full-arch prosthesis that attaches on top of dental implants.
Thanks to the integrity of implants and their ability to support the weight of multiple teeth, Dr. Mark can strategically place four or more of them within the jaw to permanently anchor a full-arch hybrid denture.
But unlike a conventional denture, the prosthesis used for All-on-4 cases is more of an extended dental bridge hybrid. The shape follows the natural curve of the jaw, from one side of the smile to the other. It only covers the part of your mouth where natural teeth would be.
Why Our Implant Dentist?
Dr. Gregory Mark has extensive training and experience in dental implantology, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and advanced dental surgeries like full mouth reconstruction. If you’re considering All-on-4 implants, he’s one of the best dentists in Forest Hills to see for your tooth replacement needs.
Candidates for All-on-4 Treatment
Should you consider getting All-on-4 implants? If you want a permanent way to replace all of your missing teeth — and don’t want to wear a traditional denture — then yes!
The ideal candidate for implant retained dentures would be someone who has relatively healthy gums and stable bone. Since implants rely on healthy gums and bone to support them, any active gum disease will need to be addressed in advance.
Since it’s our ultimate goal to help you save and preserve your natural teeth, we won’t want to perform any unnecessary tooth extractions. Healthy teeth are often best left intact, rather than removed. So, if you still have several of yours, Dr. Mark will probably recommend a different tooth replacement therapy.
All-on-4 vs. Dentures
There are big benefits when it comes to choosing an All-on-4 appliance to replace your denture. Whether you’ve worn a denture in the past or are thinking about upgrading your current one, some of the perks you’ll notice from All-on-4 implants in Forest Hills include:
• Slimmer in shape
• Easier to speak with
• Enhanced taste and flavor of your food
• No moving parts
• No gooey adhesives or pastes
• Stays in your mouth permanently
• Better mimics natural teeth
• Greater biting and chewing force
The “U” shaped contour of All-on-4 implants is one that follows the natural curve of your mouth and fees up the palate. There’s no bulky plate across the roof of your mouth, interfering with the way you talk or chew your food. Since the appliance is permanently attached to your implants, you won’t have to worry about if the suction of a denture is strong enough to avoid embarrassing situations around your friends.
All-on-4 Compared to Other Dental Implant Options
When would someone want to consider All-on-4 implants as opposed to implant-supported crowns or bridges?
All-on-4 is usually reserved for instances where we need to replace all of your upper or lower teeth at one time. This would mean that there aren’t any remaining healthy teeth in those areas. If there are, we will need to extract them.
In most cases, Dr. Mark doesn’t recommend taking out teeth for dental implants unless there’s aggressive gum disease, tooth decay, or wear.
When we’re able to retain healthy teeth, we can put a smaller implant supported restoration in open areas instead. For example, two implants to support a multi-tooth bridge, or a single implant with a crown. A partial denture would be another option.
How Much Does All-on-4 Cost in Forest Hills?
One of the most common questions we hear at Forest Hills Dental is related to the cost of All-on-4. A lot of people assume that since they’re replacing all of their missing teeth, the procedure can be quite expensive.
Fortunately, All-on-4 is a financially efficient procedure in that it uses fewer implants with a single arch prosthesis to replace all of the upper or lower teeth at once. As such, we’re able to eliminate the need for a separate implant and crown for each tooth that’s missing.
The price of All-on-4 in Forest Hills can be affected by things like bone loss, sinus issues, or the need for specialized care. Each case is determined on a person-by-person basis.
During your initial exam and consultation with Dr. Mark, we’ll be able to provide an itemized estimate of total costs involved for your unique All-on-4 case. That way you’ll know what you can expect your insurance to cover or can explore various low and 0% interest financing options to budget the rest on a monthly basis.
Caring for Your New Smile
Keeping your All-on-4 appliance clean is vital to fresh breath, a white smile, and healthy implants.
Just like your natural smile, you’ll want to use dental floss or a water flosser to clean around your supporting implants. Such oral hygiene aids also allow you to remove plaque and food debris under the prosthesis, next to your skin.
Use a non-abrasive toothpaste and soft-bristled toothbrush to brush your All-on-4 for two minutes, twice per day.
Additionally, schedule a checkup at Forest Hills Dental every six months so that Dr. Mark can evaluate your implants and clean them thoroughly.

``For someone who is deathly afraid of the dentist, my nerves disappeared instantly. When I first arrived, Maria the receptionist was very welcoming and that was exactly what I needed in order to feel more comfortable. I was then taken in for X-rays and of course my nerves started up again but Marvin was very patient with me and reassured me that there was no rush. Ana then took me in for my cleaning and she explained everything to me step by step. Not once did I feel uncomfortable. Lastly, I met with Dr.Mark who is very knowledgeable and gave me my next steps to ensuring that my teeth stay healthy and my smile gets to where I want it to be. Overall, it was an amazing visit and I know I am in great hands!``

``Thank you Dr. Mark! Visiting Forest Hills Dental was the best decision! I recently moved to Queens from Long Island and did not have a dentist in the area. My situation was unique and I was told that not to many dentist would take on my issue. I made an appointment on line. Maria the receptionist called to confirm my appointment, when I explained what was going on and she immediately re-scheduled to get me in sooner to see Dr. Mark. While in the chair Dr. Mark explained everything that was going to happen with the procedure and made sure I was never in pain. I am so happy I found them. Thank you again for taking care of me!``
